God’s Mercy to Muslims

July 3, 1994, marked Faisal Malick's last day as a Muslim. On that day, the Canadian businessman sat in on a religious service at a business conference. When the speaker said, "Jesus is the Son of God," it infuriated the native of Pakistan. His religion taught him that was blasphemy. But then Malick, a devout Sunni Muslim, had an encounter with God.

"A Veil Came Off My Eyes"
"His presence went right through me, went right around me," Malick recalls. God had his attention.

"'What are you doing here? I thought these Christians are the bad guys?'" he asked. Then, Malick says an audible voice responded, "'No, these are my children.'"

And like the apostle Paul, "a veil came off my eyes and I knew that Jesus is the Son of God," he said.

Malick is among the experts featured on the new Coral Ridge Ministries documentary, Radical Islam on the March, that airs September 20 and 27 on The Coral Ridge Hour.

Pray and Extend Mercy
Fifteen years after his encounter with God, the Muslim convert and his wife lead a Christian training and equipping organization, Covenant of Life Ministries. Malick has authored several books about understanding Islamic people, and he exhorts Christians to pray and extend God's mercy to them.

For Muslims, "It's not guaranteed that they’re going to find themselves in paradise, but that is their hope; that's their best case scenario," Malick said.

However, many Muslims are finding that they can have a guarantee of eternal life in Heaven through faith in Christ. Muslims are reporting seeing Christ in visions and dreams.

"We have stories coming out by many ministries who are seeing Muslim people come to Christ around the world in the millions," Malick said. As God reached out to him at the business conference, "God is reaching out to the Muslim world. I believe it's their season. I believe it's their time," Malick said.
